Palestra’s Age of Light event culminated in President Nayib Bukele’s video announcement of a new medical freedom law in El Salvador.

In Dr. Jack Kruse’s keynote speech, he and President Nayib Bukele announced the draft of a medical freedom law in El Salvador.

In his video, President Bukele detailed the proposed law's provisions, highlighting protections for patients and medical practitioners against government overreach. The proposed law safe guards research scientists whose findings or views may diverge from those of mainstream experts.

Additionally, Dr. Jack Kruse and Zorp Chief Research Officer, Sam Parker announced the development of a decentralized research platform leveraging company’s zero knowledge proof protocol, Eden zkVM.

Beyond the keynote announcements, Age of Light speakers offered perspective on the the global health landscape and shared optimism regarding El Salvador’s role in shaping its future.

Anjan Katta, founder of Daylight Computer, spoke on his building philosophy and unveiled the world’s first blue light free tablet. Erwan Le Corre proposed a new path forward for national physical education.
